Between Malachi and Matthew: The Intertestamental Period
Watch a 23 minute video on RC Sproul talking about the time between the OT/NT. This is commonly understood to be the time when many of the apocryphal writings were written.

As we transition from Old Covenant into the New Covenant, this is a good space to both, look back AND look ahead.
Take some time to go over the material we’ve covered so far in previous lessons. I also recommend to continue feeding your mind and soul with the discussions and lectures that I’ve included here and throughout. Mine the gems of eternal treasure.
ASIDE: Time for Sober Self-Assessment
We should all do a little time inventory exercise. Let’s stop for a minute and take an honest look at the other media (tiktok, instagram, facebook, youtube, netflix, pinterest, X, etc…) that we consume throughout the day or week. Then let’s ask ourselves…
Is there room for things that will bring me closer in my relationship with God? Am I investing in things that have eternal value – or will they all burn in the end?
This is completely biblical and essential for spiritual growth.
2 Corinthians 13:5 ESV Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?-unless indeed you fail to meet the test! Romans 12:2-3 ESV Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. Matthew 6:19-21 ESV "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
But above all, it will encourage and strengthen us in our own personal faith.
